The last two Regional Qualification that qualify teams for the 2026 men’s provincial championship (Tankard) were held from November 21st to 23rd at the Valleyfield and De la Vallée (Amqui) curling clubs.
In Valleyfield, nine teams participated in the event. After the preliminary round, team Thomson from the Valleyfield curling club (4-0) faced off against team Koroscil from the Town of Mount-Royal curling club (2-2) In the first semi-final. The second semi-final was a game between team Beaufort from the Aurèle-Racine curling club (4-0) and team, Maheux from the St-Bruno curling club (3-1). With their wins in the semi final, team Thomson and team Koroscil earned their place in the final and it’s the team for the Aurèle-Racine curling club (Mathieu Beaufort, Maxime Benoit, Alexandre Comeau and Patrick Doyon) that kept it’s perfect record and won the event.

In Amqui, five team were registered. Team Tremblay from the Nairn curing club had a perfect record (4-0) and was qualified directly for the final and team Burgess from the Rimouski curling club (3-1) had to play team Patry from the Kénogami curling club (2-2) had to play the semi-final. After winning the semi-final, team Burgess (Peter Burgess, Richard Cyr, Marc-André Marcil, Kevin Gravel et Pierre-Olivier Jean) also won the event’s final.
Team Beaufort and Team Burgess are therefore qualified for the 2026 men’s provincial championship that will be held in Rimouski from January 4th-11th.
