Rockfest brings together curlers under the age of 15 (athletes must be between 11 and 14 years old as of December 31, 2026, meaning born in 2015, 2014, 2013, or 2012). Participants take part in regional events on a national scale, providing an opportunity to develop their skills and compete against curlers from neighbouring provinces and territories in both Solo Curling and Trio Curling.

These events emphasize the development of young curlers as individuals, helping them build a complete skill set across all aspects of the game in a fun and competitive environment. To learn more about the event, click here.

The Quebec region is part of the following Rockfest event:

Rockfest U15 East (Northern Ontario, Ontario, Nunavut, Quebec)

  • Hosted at Peterborough Golf and Lakefield Curling Clubs (Ontario)
  • February 5–7, 2027
  • 18 Quebec curlers will qualify: 9 girls and 9 boys

U15 Rockfest Camps in Quebec

In order to promote athlete development and individual competition through Curling Canada’s initiative, Curling Québec is also developing a new qualification format for Rockfest starting in the 2026–2027 season. Two one-day qualification camps will be held to allow young curlers to meet, develop, and qualify for Rockfest East.

These full-day camps (9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.) will include on- and off-ice training, lunch, activities, and qualification opportunities. They will take place at two different locations and dates:

  • November 21, 2026 — Lachine Curling Club (24 participants)
  • December 20, 2026 — Jacques-Cartier Curling Club (32 participants)

Athletes may only participate in one of the two camp days, as the events are duplicated.

Since Curling Québec has 9 spots for girls and 9 spots for boys at Rockfest East, 8 of these spots will be awarded through the camp events. Specifically, 4 girls and 4 boys will qualify from each camp. The remaining 9th spot for both girls and boys will be awarded through the Skills Curling application.

Registration for the U15 Rockfest camps opens on October 1, 2026. Registration deadlines are November 1, 2026 for the first camp and December 1, 2026 for the second camp, or until all spots are filled.

Cost: $50 per athlete

Lunch and snacks are included in the registration fee. Qualified participants who travel to Ontario for the in-person event will receive a competition grant.
