Teams qualify via the junior mixed doubles circuit:
- The podium teams of the 3 junior mixed doubles circuit tournaments (maximum 9 teams) are directly qualified for the provincial championship.
- The other teams will be ranked according to their 2 best results during the junior mixed doubles circuit tournaments, at least 3 teams will be qualified by this process.
- In the event that a team has been on the podium in two or more tournaments, unallocated berths will be returned to the teams via the points system until all 12 berths have been claimed.
- Each team must have played together (both athletes) in at least one tournament on the junior mixed doubles circuit to qualify for the provincial championship.
- The athletes are not allowed to play another tournament on the same weekend.
The points standings will be published on the Curling Québec website. Teams will earn points based on the following system:
Number of wins + (Number of teams + 1) – your ranking
1st example: Team A won 2 games during the X mixed doubles tournament (8 teams) and finished 5th. The calculation is therefore as follows: 2 + 9 – 5 = 6 points.
2nd example: Team B won all its games (5 wins) and also won the entire tournament in the Y mixed doubles tournament (16 teams). The calculation is therefore as follows: 5 + 17 – 1 = 21 points.
