As we had announced it in the fall, a new provincial circuit has been created since the start of January 2026. We have decided to add a provincial master circuit, which will allow us to sanction competitions for players aged 60 and up.
To be eligible for the masters circuit, a tournament will have to:
- Be open to al teams made up of players eligible for the Master category (60 years old and more as of December 31st of the current season).
- Have a minimum of 8 registered teams.
- Have a maximum registration fee of 400$ (tournaments can have a higher registration fee if they send a request to Curling Quebec and receive approval)
- Give out a maximum of 100% of the registrations in prize money (tournaments can give out a higher percentage of prize money if they send a request to Curling Quebec and receive approval)
- Require teams to use World Curling approved brush heads.
There will be no fee to add an event to the provincial master circuit for the moment. Tournaments that are part of the provincial master circuit will be added on our calendar of tournaments in Quebec in the QUEBEC PROVINCIAL CIRCUIT EVENTS.
To be eligible to accumulate points on the provincial master circuit, teams will have to:
- Be officially registered (no registration fees) to the provincial circuit before the start of the event by filling out the registration form.
- Have a minimum of 3 players of the officially registered team for all the games in the tournament.
- If applicable, use a replacement player that would be eligible in the masters men category (60 years old and over on December 31st of the current season).
- Declare their points by using the declaration form.
All the events of the provincial senior and men’s circuits are also eligible to give out points for the provincial master circuit.
This also means that a provincial standing of master men’s teams will be added. The three best teams on the circuit will earn a spot directly to the provincial master men’s championship as of the 2027 edition. The spots at the provincial championship will be given to:
- 3 best teams on the provincial standing as of December 31st
- Host club
- Cote-Nord region
- Est-du-Quebec region
- Estrie region
- Mauricie region
- Montreal region (3 spots)
- Nord-Ouest region
- Outaouais region
- Quebec region
- Saguenay/Lac-St-Jean region
- Sud-Ouest region
