1- Construction of a new curling club: Great moment for curling in Québec. The ground-breaking ceremony of the new Club Des Collines, in Chelsea, Outaouais was held this morning with the dignitaries. Caryl Green – mayor of Chelsea, Richard Gervais – president, Stéphanie Vallée – ministre of the region of Outaouais, Roger Smith – general director, And special congratulations to Roger Smith who was honored with the Meritas Volunteer of the year for his enormous implication in the project. We wish you all the best.
2- Attention all Scotties and Tankard teams : As of 2016, each team registered for the Scotties or the Tankard was allowed to register one player who lives outside of Quebec. This is still the case, however this year the free agents must receive permission to compete in a different province by completing the following form by November 1st, 2017. The form must be submitted to Curling Canada, Curling Quebec and the free agent’s provincial curling association. 3- Club coach workshop : A Club Coach Workshop (2 days) is offered next October 28-29 at the TMR curling club. Schedule : Saturday & Sunday – 8.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m.. Language : French. Documentation and equipment provided on-site. Lunch not included. NCCP activity #5201975. Instructor : Alan Smith. Registration deadline: October 20, 2017. 4- REMINDER- Ice Technician workshop in Thetford Mines: An Ice Technician workshop combining level 1 & 2 will be given at the Thetford Mines curling club October 28-29, 2017. For more information and registration, click here.

6- Your interest for an Open House : As it is an olympic year, we would like to know your interest in participating in a provincial open house. Let us know by sending us an email at info@curling-quebec.qc.ca.
7- Invitation : Magog curling club invites you to its Mixed tournament 2 vs 2 during the day from November 1st to 3rd, 2017.
8- Invitation : St-Jean-sur-Richelieu invites you to its 28th Carnaval Iber-neige that will be held January 20, 21 and 27, 28 2018. 3 ice sheets with shortened dimensions. Open. Double knock-out. All games are played outside!!! Where : 190 Lareau St-Jean-sur-Richelieu. More than 3000 people will attend the carnaval over those 2 weekends.
