The Canadian Masters Championship begins Monday, April 6 in Grande Prairie, Alberta. One men’s team and one women’s team will represent Quebec on this occasion:
Men: Sylvain Bellavance, Daniel Elie, Mario Dion, André Gagné, André Bellavance (Town of Mount Royal/St-Bruno/Des Collines/Boucherville)
Women: Catherine Derick, Sylvie Daniel, Chantal Gadoua, Chantal Ouellette (Lacolle/Buckingham/Sherbrooke)
In the men’s division, the competition features 12 teams divided into two pools. The men are in Pool A and will therefore play 5 preliminary round games. The top 4 teams from each pool will qualify for the championship round for 4 additional games before the finals. In the women’s division, all teams are in a single pool of 10, and they will play a 9-game round robin before the top 4 teams advance to the finals.
