Thanks to a grant from RBC’s Learn to Play Project, Curling Quebec is proud to announce that the federation will be able to offer reduced rates to all Igloo 1 participants for the 2016-2017 curling season.
As you probably already know, Igloo is an 8-week initiation program designed for children in elementary school (6-12 years old). Focusing mainly on the enjoyment of playing sports, kids gradually learn the basics of curling through adapted exercises and fun activities. After offering the program in a few clubs last winter, it was proven that Igloo is a great way to step into the sport! Normally offered at $120+tax, affiliated clubs could now offer Igloo for only $100+tax and that’s not all, every participant will also receive their first curling broom for free!
Some clubs will offer Igloo this fall and will therefore allow children in their community to benefit from this deal. In order to share your passion for the sport and to encourage participation in curling among children, Curling Quebec also invites other affiliated clubs to contact our development coordinator to discuss the possibility of integrating the program in your schedule! Let’s share this opportunity; it’s a great way to encourage the youth population to try curling, it’s good for you as a club and it’s good for the development of the sport in our province!
