2-) A dedicated WeekEnd for Competition Coach Certification : Curling Québec with Alan Smith and André Ferland organises a whole weekend next October 29-30 at the Aurèle-Racine Curling Club in Sorel dedicated to the Competition Coach Certification for the next Jeux du Québec in 2017. 5-) Canada Winter Games selection process:
The Canada Games are a highly important national event which only occurs once every 4 years. It is a very important step in the development of future Canadian star athletes. The next edition of the Canada Games will take place in Red Deer, Alberta in February of 2019.
Teams interested in participating in the qualification process for the 2016 Canada games must register by November 1, 2016.
To be eligible, participants must be aged 17 years or younger as of June 30, 2018. Therefore anyone born on July 1st, 2000 or later is eligible.

6-) National Canadian Junior Championships in Shawinigan in 2018 : Curling Canada announced this week in a press conference that the National Canadian Junior Championships in 2018 (21 years and less), men and women, will occur from January 13 to 21 at the Centre municipal de curling and in the Grand-Mère arena.
7-) Flexibility from Curling Canada on the Brier and Scotties : As said before, the rule is that at the Scotties/Brier/Olympic Trials coaches must be certified Competition Development as of November 1, 2017. Since the Curling Canada’s AGM, that rule is being modified to be…that coaches must be Competition Development In-Training, and working towards certification. This is to reflect the length of time it takes to get certified and the limited training opportunities.
😎 8 Ender : Curling Canada delivers certificate to whoever wants its 8 ender to be recognized. Just sent to info@curling-quebec.qc.ca those information : date of the event, the kind of event that was happening (ex. : Thursday league, senior tournament,etc.), the name, address and telephone number of the curling club, name and position of all players, a picture and an address for the certificates to be delivered to.
9-) Club Coach Course in Dolbeau : Curling Québec is organizing a Club Coach Course in French at the Dolbeau curling club next October 22-23. Will be cancelled if less than 8 participants.
