From February 14th to 22nd, we held the 2026 Masters Provincial Championship at the Sept-Îles curling club. For the first five days of competition, the men were in action, and the women played the final four days of competition.
On the men’s side, sixteen teams were divided into two pools of eight teams. After the preliminary round, two teams in pool A and poo, B were able to stand out with a record of 6-1.
The A1 vs B1 game was a family affair at the team of Sylvain Bellavance (Town of Mount-Royal, St-Bruno, Des Collines and Boucherville) played against the team of André Bellavance (Belvédère). The game was to the advantage of Sylvain who won with a 9-3 score.
In the A2 vs B2 game, two teams from the Trois-Rivières curling club, team Perron and team Charland, faced off. This tight game needed 8 ends to decide a winner as team Charland won the game 6-5.
In the semi-final, team André Bellavance needed a to steal the extra end to win 7-6 and earn a spot in the rematch final.
The final opposing both Bellavance brothers was tighter than the A1 vs B1 game. With the hammer in the first end, Sylvain was forced to a single point. Both teams traded ends of 2 points in the 2nd and 3rd ends. In the fourth end, Sylvain was able to steal 1 point to take the 4-2 lead at the break. After a blank in the 5th end, Sylvain stole one more point in the 6th, but André responded with 3 points in the 7th end to tie up the score. In the 8th, Sylvain’s team was able to use the hammer to score 3 more points and win the 2026 Provincial Masters Championship.
- Gold : Team Sylvain Bellavance (Sylvain Bellavance, Daniel Elie, Mario Dion, André Gagné) – Town of Mount-Royal/St-Bruno/Des Collines/Boucherville
- Silver : Team André Bellavance (André Bellavance, Gerry Savoie, Mike Dorval, Jean Carrier) – Belvédère
- Bronze : Team Charland (Michel Charland, Normand Bornais, Guy Morand, Daniel Dion, Sylvain Sanscartier) – Trois-Rivières



On the women’s side, six teams participated. After the preliminary round, team Casgrain (Victoria) earned her spot directly in the final with a 5-0 record. Team Derick (Lacolle, Buckingham and Sherbrooke) with a 4-1 record and team Guévin (Rosemère, Trois-Rivières and Sherbrooke) with a 3-2 record had to play the semi-final.
In the semi-final, team Derick used the hammer early with a score of 3 in the 1st end. After getting forced to 1 in the 2nd end, team Guévin stole 1 point in the 3rd. Team Derick took 2 points in the 4th end but gave up 3 in the 5th. With the score even in the 6th, team Derick got 3 points and stole 1 more in the 7th to earn the 9-5 win.
In the final, team Casgrain were forced to 1 in the 1st end. Both teams then traded 3 points ends in the 2nd and 3rd ends and team Derick took the 7-4 lead with 4 points before the mid-game break. After stealing 3 points in the 5th and 1 point in the 6th, team Derick earned it’s 5th straight provincial title with a 11-4 win.

- Silver: Team Casgrain (Suzanne Casgrain, Annie Vaillancourt, Monique Minier, Martine Deschênes, Claudy Daoust) – Victoria
- Bronze : Team Guévin (Diane Guévin, Manon Morin, Louise Gaudreault, Christiane Poitras, Monique Beauchamp, Luc Lalonde) – Rosemère/Trois-Rivières/Sherbrooke
