1- Board of directors of Curling Québec: The annual general meeting was presented on Sunday, September 10th. We would like to thank the Town of Mount-Royal Curling Club for the warm welcome and all the voting delegates and observers who were present on this special day. The election of the directors who form the board also takes place during the AGM. Here is the composition of the 2017-18 board of directors :

The Board of Directors welcomes three new members this year: Stefan Sasura (St-Lambert), Pierre Bédard (Kénogami) and François Roberge (Etchemin). To see the Board members, click here.
2- An important partnership : We are extremely pleased to announce that our partnership with Brosse Performance is continuing and growing. The renowned curling supply company has agreed to broaden its support in order to benefit as many players as possible. Performance has always been committed to the development of young players by supporting the junior provincial championship (U-21) for many years. Last year, Martin Ferland and the entire Performance team also agreed to support the all-new Juvenile Provincial Championship (U-18). Starting this year, Performance will become the title sponsor for the entire Juvenile and Junior Series including all of the following events:
• Provincial U-21 Performance Brush Championship
• Provincial U-18 Performance Brush Championship
• U-21 Mixed Tournament
• U-21 Mixed Doubles Tournament
• 2019 Canada Games Selection Process

3- Meritas 2016-2017: The Meritas Award winners were unveiled during the Annual General Meeting last September 10th. Congratulations to all of the winners and thank you for your contribution to our sport. The awards will be presented throughout the season in their respective curling clubs. 4- Canadian Junior Championship: Presale tickets are now available for the Canadian Junior Championships that will be presented at the Grand-Mère arena from January 13th to 21st. Don’t miss this opportunity to support the best players of the future.
5- Need any training?: It is time to let us know your needs regarding our workshops and training sessions for coaches and/or ice technicians. Let us know by email at info@curling-quebec.qc.ca by writing your full name, email, region and the training you need. We will add your name on the waiting list. As soon as there are 8 people in the same area requiring the same course, it will be our pleasure to organize it for you.
6- Ice Technician workshop in Thetford Mines: An Ice Technician workshop combining level 1 & 2 will be given at the Thetford Mines curling club October 28-29. For more information and registration, click here.
7- Curling 101 program in Magog: Starting October 13th, 2017 from 4p.m. to 6p.m. every Friday – and for 8 weeks – Magog curling club will be offering the Curling 101 program, an initiation program for all. There are still a few spots available to participate in this program. For any information contact François Morin at the Magog curling club.
8- Open House in Magog: Magog curling club has an open house Thursday 28th and Friday 29th of September from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday September 30th and Sunday 1st of October from noon to 4 PM. Spread the word. For more details see their website at https://www.curlingmagog.com/

10- Invitation: Chicoutimi curling club is hosting the Double Mixte Express tournament from September 29th to October 1st.
11- Invitation: The Baie d’Urfé BDCC Skin Game Tournament will happen October 5th to 9th at the Baie d’Urfé curling club. This tournament is affiliated to the Provincial Circuit.
12- Invitation: Chicoutimi curling club is hosting the Tournoi Pile ou Face tournament from October 18th to 22nd.
13- Invitation : Next October 28th at the Glenmore curling club is the Hardline curling Senior’itas Invitational Spiel.
14- Appeal to all : One of our members would like to buy a used speed trap. If you know someone that has one, let us know at info@curling-quebec.qc.ca.
