1- Curling Québec’s Hall of fame: On Thursday January 17th during the Women’s & Men’s provincial championships, Curling Quebec held a very special ceremony. Seven people were inducted into the federation’s Hall of Fame in the builders category in recognition for their work and dedication to the development and growth of the sport. Our most sincere congratulations on this well-deserved honour to: Mrs. Monique Nicholls, Mr. Jean Boivin, Mr. Maurice Campbell (represented by his son Charles), Mr. Thomas R. Fisher (represented by his daughter Maxe), Mr. Jack Lynch (represented by his daughter Marianne), Mr. Claude Noël and Mr. Michel St-Onge. Two more people were also inducted this year but were unfortunately unable to join us for the event but congratulations also to Ms. Judy Veinot and Mr. Jack Crombie. To see more details, click here.
2- Junior Jamboree – U-15, U-18, U-21: Last chance to register your team for the junior jamboree which will be held at TMR Curling Club on February 16th and 17th. The registration deadline is January 27th. Register by completing the online form : https://curlingcanada.formstack.com/forms/jamboree.

5- Curling Canada’s Junior age eligibility guidelines to be altered: Curling Canada decided to change its junior age eligibility guidelines after extensive consultation with Member Associations and coaching experts, who identified it as a key element within Curling Canada’s Long-Term Athlete Development plans.CC press release., Change in their junior age. 6- Event of the year Meritas Award: Sunday January 13th, 2019, Marc-André Robitaille, general manager of Curling Québec, presented the Meritas Award for the Event of the Year – Championnat Canadien Junior 2019 – to Jean-François Morand, president of the Grand-Mère curling club, and to Alain Boucher, president of the host comitee, and to Sylvain Desaulniers and Johanne Charest both members of the organizing comitee. Congratulations!
7- Competition Coach of the year Meritas Award: Saturday January 19th, during the Senior Laval-sur-le-Lac‘s tournament, André Bellavance, president of Curling Quebec, presented the Competition coach of the year Meritas Award to Michel St-Georges from the Laval-sur-le-Lac curling club. Congratulations Michel!
