Hello everyone. Here is your weekly news:
1- Lose a game, save a life: Luc Ouellette from Gatineau is the hero of the day. Luc Ouellette may have lost in the semifinals during a tournament that was held in Montreal last Sunday, January 15th, but he won the title of hero of the day. He performed CPR with a defibrillator, saving a man who was having a heart attack. Luc, you’re the best! 3- Mixed Doubles provincial championship: The registration deadline for the mixed doubles provincial championship is February 5th. 4- Tic, Tap & Toc final: The first Quebec edition of Tic, Tap & Toc ended last Sunday, for a grand total of 23 clubs and 333 participants! We are thrilled to see such enthusiastic participation and to receive your overwhelmingly positive feedback about the experience! Our deepest gratitude goes out to all the volunteers at the clubs that organised the tournaments: your support in launching this championship is priceless! You do us all proud! The final will take place during the Tankard on February 10th, at 1pm, at the Glenmore Curling Club.
5- Kurling for kids: the 20th edition of Kurling for Kids officially launched yesterday and the event will take place at participating curling clubs on April 7. Do not hesitate to participate, to donate or to help spread the word about this incredible foundation. More than 3 million dollars have been raised since its creation for the CHU Sainte-Justine and the Montreal Children’s Hospital.
6- REMINDER – Competition coach workshop in Amos: February 24-25, 2018 at the Amos curling club. Schedule : Saturday & Sunday- 8.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. Language : French.
