Hello everyone. Here is your weekly news:
1-) Job offer at the Place des Festivals: During Montreal’s 375th anniversary activities and Montréal en Lumière, Spectra – in collaboration with Curling Québec – will offer a curling activity at the Place des Festivals in the Quartier des Spectacles in Montreal. The festival will be held from February 23rd to March 11th from Thursdays to Sundays (there will be day work shift and night work shift) and there will be interviews from January 17th to 23rd. People interested can apply online and also send an email to marobitaille@curling-quebec.qc.ca to inform us so we could put your application in priority for this curling activity.
2-) Workshop for club managers: Workshop in French for club managers given by l’AQLP (Alliance Québécoise des Loisirs Publics) : ”Comment optimiser l’ensemble des opérations de votre aréna afin de réduire vos coûts, d’améliorer les services et votre performance environnementale”. 3-) Curling 101 at the Victoria curling club in January!: Starting mid January, the Victoria curling club will offer the 8-week Curling 101 program! Two time slots are available and place is limited (Sunday 3pm-5pm: 24 participants or Thursday 7pm-9pm: 8 participants). 4-) Reminder – Fundraising for Curling Quebec: We also remind interested members that donations received before December 31st will be eligible for tax deduction for the year 2016. Donations will be matched 230% by the Gouvernement du Québec. Click here to make a donation.
5-) Reminder – Mixed Doubles Provincial Championship: The registration deadline is January 16, 2017. It is an open registration, all teams directly qualify for provincials. Register now!
6-) Training for Development Coaches: (message from INS that we are transferring). Time for registration has begun for the Advanced Diploma in Coaching. This program is at the advanced level of development competition context of the NCCP. It is for coaches that work with athletes who have goals to compete at a high level.
7-) Call to all – dehumidifier: Celanese curling club asks if there are clubs that have moved from freon to electrical ‘dessicant’. They would like to know the results and your degree of satisfaction. If you can help them, please contact Richard Laflamme at rlaflamme@outlook.fr
8 -) Invitation: Chicoutimi curling club invites you to its Junior Tournament, Participation and Juvenile from January 13 to 15th.
