The Bedford Curling Club proudly marked its 75th anniversary during a special evening held on December 3, attended by several distinguished guests and sponsors. Many individuals highlighted the importance of this milestone in various ways.
Mrs. Isabelle Charest, Member of the National Assembly for Brome–Missisquoi and Minister responsible for Sports, Recreation, and Outdoor Activities, through her political attaché Mrs. Julia Girard-Desbiens, presented a certificate from the National Assembly. The Mayor of Bedford, Mr. Claude Dubois, delivered a heartfelt speech, and the Member of Parliament for Brome–Missisquoi, Mr. Louis Villeneuve, sent a letter of congratulations.
Curling Québec also extended its congratulations to the Bedford Curling Club with a letter from the Chairman of the Board, Mr. Sonny Melançon, and by awarding the club a commemorative plaque. The letter was read, and the plaque was presented by Mrs. Diane Giroux, wife of Pierre Marziali, Bedford Club’s ambassador to Curling Québec, to the current president, Mr. Luc Martin.
Our congratulations to the entire Bedford Curling Club team on its 75th anniversary. We wish them continued success as part of Quebec’s great curling community.
