We are excited to announce that we will be adding a new provincial circuit in January 2026. We will expand on our already existing circuits (Men, Senior and Colts) and we will add the Master provincial circuit this winter. The objective of this circuit will be to encourage players that are eligible for the Master category (aged 60 and up) to participate in already existing event that will joint the provincial circuit. We are also hoping that more clubs will develop master tournaments in the future seasons.
The circuit will function in a similar way to the provincial Senior circuit. Teams will be able to accumulate points in any tournament of the Master, Senior and Men provincial circuits and in any tournament played outside of Quebec. Points will be calculated according to the number of teams in the event, the number of wins for the team and the final position in the event. Teams will accumulate points during a period that will span from January 1st to December 31st of a calendar year. Since this new circuit will begin in the month of January 2026, the qualification system for this season’s master men’s provincial championship will remain the same this season. But, as of the 2026-27 season, 3 spots at the provincial championship will be reserved for the best 3 teams on the yearly standings. Teams will be able to qualify to the provincial master men’s championship as follows:
- 3 teams with the most points as of December 31st.
- Host club
- Côte-Nord region
- Est-du-Quebec region
- Estrie region
- Mauricie region
- Montreal region (3 spots)
- Nord-Ouest region
- Outaouais region
- Quebec region
- Saguenay/Lac-St-Jean region
- Sud-Ouest region
More details will be published latter, but we encourage you to communicate with Émile Asselin (emile.asselin@curing-quebec.qc.ca) if you have questions about this new circuit.
