This past weekend, from October 23 to 25, Kénogami Curling Club hosted the second Junior Mixed Doubles event of the season. Four teams competed in a round-robin format to determine the standings heading into the playoff round.
Thanks to a strong and consistent performance throughout the competition, Team Fortin/Brassard, consisting of Mégane Fortin, Louis-François Brassard, and coach Philippe Brassard, finished at the top of the standings with a perfect record of three wins and zero losses. Their undefeated run earned them a direct spot in the final.
Team Bernier/Donovan and Team Royal Montréal / Hudson faced off in the semifinals in a bid to secure the second spot in the championship final. In a closely contested match, the Bernier/Donovan duo came out on top and earned their place in the final.
The championship match then featured Team Fortin/Brassard against Team Bernier/Donovan. The team that will represent Quebec at the Canada Games later this year once again showcased their skill and experience, claiming the tournament title.
Congratulations to Team Fortin/Brassard on this impressive victory, and to all participating teams for their excellent level of play throughout the weekend!
