Curling Quebec will not adopt the World Curling rule R3. The World Curling requirement for teams to compete with four players at all times will not be implemented for Curling Quebec’s provincial championships, qualification events or any provincial circuit events in the 2026-2027 season.
We will continue to gather feedback throughout the season, both from our events and from other events across Canada. A decision will be made in the off-season as to whether or not the rule will be applicable for the 2027-2028 season.
The rules of curling are available on Curling Canada’s website.
