We would like to inform you about the introduction of the new Protecteur de l’intégrité en loisir et en sport, which now replaces the former Officier des plaintes.
This new independent mechanism will help ensure a healthy, safe, and respectful environment for everyone involved in recreational and sports activities in Quebec — whether as participants, coaches, officials, volunteers, or administrators.
The Protecteur de l’intégrité en loisir et en sport provides a neutral, independent, and confidential service for handling complaints. Anyone who witnesses or experiences unacceptable behaviour, abuse, or a violation of personal integrity within the recreation and sports community can now report their concerns directly to the Protecteur.
The aim of this new approach is to build trust in the system by ensuring that all complaints are handled in a fair, impartial, and transparent manner, while also contributing to the prevention of inappropriate behaviours.
