As you know, the current situation continues to change daily, and it can often be challenging to keep up with the status of the separate Curling Québec affiliations. We hope the information below will clarify things for you all.
1 – CLUB AFFILIATION
A reminder to all clubs that have yet to do so, please send us your club affiliation form as soon as possible, even if your curling club has shut down operations for the entire season or only temporarily, in a red, orange or yellow zone. As you may already know, curling clubs will not need to pay the $400 club affiliation fee in this unusual year. However, we will still need your affiliation form to complete our due diligence with various government representations. This form is proof that you remain affiliated and, this year will replace the annual affiliation fee payment as proof of your affiliation. Kindly complete it and return it to Curling Québec: https://curlingcanada.formstack.com/forms/affiliation_club_form
NOTE: for the electronic system to accept your form submission, please select the PAYMENT BY CHEQUE, INTERAC or BANK TRANSFER. You will not, of course, need to send any of those.
2 – REGULAR CURLER AFFILIATION
- ORANGE AND YELLOW Zones: For curling clubs in these zones, the deadlines for submitting affiliation fees remain unchanged, as announced on our website (https://curling-quebec.qc.ca/about-us/affiliation/?lang=en), meaning:
December 1st, 2020 –> Deadline to fill out the electronic Club Registration Form.
December 1st, 2020 –> Deadline to send the complete list of your Club’s Regular Participants electronic form.
December 5th, 2020 –> Deadline to receive by email the complete and detailed invoice from Curling Québec.
December 15th, 2020 –> Deadline to pay the entire affiliation fees for the 2020-2021 season.
- RED Zones: For curling clubs in red zones, Curling Québec will require no regular curler affiliation fees at this stage. We are all keeping an eye on the situation’s development. If clubs can reopen in January, they will be asked to collect the affiliation fees from their members and promptly send them to Curling Québec. We will contact the affected clubs in January to follow up.
We hope this update is helpful to you moving forward, and, as always, we remain at your disposal for any additional information you may need.
