Following the government’s recent announcements, here are the details applying to the practice of curling. All indoor sports and recreational activities are prohibited starting January 9th, 2021, except for physical education classes and other programs within a school context and training for “identified athletes”. We are waiting for additional clarifications concerning this last category (authorized persons, procedures, etc.), as well as their arrangements for curling clubs. Curling Québec will share this information as soon as it becomes available in a subsequent announcement.
Individual practice, within a family bubble or in pairs for regular members, is therefore no longer permitted. These measures will remain in place until February 8th or until further government notice.
We are aware that these restrictions will likely force several curling clubs to end their 2020-21 season activities. We remain at your disposal to guide you through these difficult times. We want to assure you that the Curling Québec team continues its daily work to best represent you and your interests in all our discussions with government officials.
