1- Financial help – Program for sport and recreational facilities: The provincial government introduced this morning a $100 million investment programme to support the construction, refurbishment, upgrade or renovation of sport and recreational facilities and outdoor activities sites. Municipal or non-profit organisations, municipalities and cooperatives are invited to submit their project before February 23rd. You can consult (in French only) the Ministry’s website and read all about the Program and fill out the form online. You can also find different useful documents to help you out. 2- REMINDER – Attention to all senior, masters, women’s, men’s and wheelchair curling teams: There is only 1 week left to register for the senior (men and women), masters (men and women), men’s (Tankard), women’s (Scotties) and wheelchair curling provincial championships. 3- Tic, Tap & Toc championship for juniors: Only one week left to register your clubs to the Tic, Tap & Toc championship for juniors! Send in your forms no later than December 1st and join the 20 clubs in the year’s exciting new tournament! http://curling-quebec.qc.ca/tic-tap-toc2/?lang=en.
4- The 54th Final of the Jeux du Québec in Québec City: The 54th Final of the Jeux du Québec will happen in Quebec City during winter 2019. We invite you to take a look at the press release from Sports Québec, broadcasted during their press conference yesterday afternoon, during which they announced the location of the Finale of Jeux du Québec 2019.
5- Volunteers wanted: The hosting committee of the Canadian Junior Championship 2018 is looking for volunteers to help out at this prestigious event.
6- After-school program at Kénogami curling club: The after-school programme: a winning combination for the entire community! 7- REMINDER – Competition coach workshop in Magog: A Competition Coach Workshop (2 days) will be offered January 20-21 at the Magog curling club. Schedule: Saturday & Sunday – 8.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m.. Language: French. Documentation and equipment provided on-site. Lunch not included. NCCP activity #5207715. Instructor: Alan Smith. Registration deadline: January 10, 2018. To register click here. This will probably be the only Competition Coach workshop in the Estrie region this year, so don’t miss out on the opportunity to participate.
8- REMINDER – Club Coach Workshop in Magog: A Club Coach Workshop at Magog curling club is scheduled for February 17-18, 2018. 180$+tx (206.95$) for the 2 days workshop.
