Hello everyone. Here are your weekly news:
1-) Find out more about the ”Curling in the gym” program: Curling Québec has recently made available to all of its affiliated clubs a brand new development program that fits perfectly with Curling 101 and Igloo. Indeed, this program brings another dimension to the sport and gives an opportunity for youth to learn curling outside the traditional rink. “Curling in the gym” is the perfect new tool to increase the visibility of curling into schools and to foster the development of new junior players in clubs. 2-) REMINDER – Curling promotional package: For a limited time only, purchase a special edition curling promotional package. Includes a bracelet and a curling t-shirt, available in multiple sizes and colours. The price $40 (tax-free) includes the cost of production ($15) and a tax-deductible donation for which you will get a tax-receipt ($25). This limited edition package will only be available between March 1st and 31st, 2017. Order online between March 1st and 31st by clicking here. To learn more, visit our website.
3-) Children’s fitness tax credit: Did you know that you could have tax credits for your children’s sport activities? Here are the links for 2 tax credits, one from the federal government and one from the provincial government. Federal: http://www.cra-arc.gc.ca/tx/ndvdls/tpcs/ncm-tx/rtrn/cmpltng/ddctns/lns409-485/458-459/menu-eng.html and Provincial: http://www.revenuquebec.ca/en/citoyen/credits/activites_enfants/default.aspx. The criterias seem to be more strict for the federal but it looks like our Igloo program fits in.
4-) End of fiscal year: Curlers who wish to make a tax-deductible donation to curling have until March 31 to take advantage of the program Placements Sports 2016-2017. This program will match all donations 230%: therefore, a $100 donation will raise $330 for curling, enough to introduce three kids to the sport. An opportunity to make a big impact! The program is open to individuals and businesses. To learn more, visit our website. To make a donation, click here.
Have a nice weekend 🙂
