Hi everyone. Here is your weekly news:
1- CQ’s new provincial coach: Curling Quebec is very pleased to announce that Mrs. Julie Hamel has been selected to become CQ’s provincial coach. Julie is a true curling enthusiast with many years of coaching experience and her expertise will be a great asset to the federation as well as to the athletes and competitive teams. Her short and meduim term priorities will include:
– 2023 Canada Games Selection Process
– High Performance Camps
– Coaching and mentoring for provincial teams
– Training and Development

2- Annual’s ambassadors package sent by mail: every year at the beginning of the season we send my mail a package to all ambassadors of the clubs containing many information that we ask them to transmit to their members. The packages were sent yesterday.
Among other things, in this year’s package you will find:
– Curling Québec’s annual report 2018-2019
– a Tic, Tap & Toc poster
– a poster of the calendar of all our championships
– information about our new tournament called The Battle of the Clubs

3- Tic Tap Toc registrations: one month left to register for this year’s junior skill competition! Please note that all club events must take place before January 6th. Registration and scoring forms available on our website
4- Giveaway – Canadian Mixed Championship: in partnership with Curling Canada and Curling Saguenay Inc., Curling Quebec is hosting a giveaway that will give TWO lucky fans the chance to win a pair of all-access week passes! Participation is required by Saturday, November 2nd at 3pm.
The tickets will give you access to ALL the games of the Mixed Championship in Jonquière, which starts this Sunday, November 3rd, at 5:30pm. 5- The Canadian Mixed Championship: the Canadian Mixed Championship begins on Sunday, November 3rd and our Quebec team will get its start at 6:30pm. Our four athletes, Jean-Sébastien Roy, Amélie Blais, Dan deWaard and Brenda Nicholls will face Team Yukon in the first round. Good luck to our champs! Don’t forget that the tournament is taking place in Jonquière, in our beautiful Saguenay region, in case you needed a destination for a little weekend roadtrip! 6- Invitation:Jacques-Cartier curling club invites you to its Carnaval Bonspiel from February 5th to 9th, 2020.
