Hello everyone. Here are your weekly news:
1-) Coaches at the Scotties / Brier / Olympic Trials : Effective November 1, 2017 – all coaches accompanying teams to the Scotties, Brier or Olympic Trials must be;
· Certified Competition Coach (equivalent to Level 2 Certified) and “Competition Development-In Training**” or;
· Mental Performance Consultant with one of the following qualifications;
o Graduate degree in sport and performance psychology or related field
o Member of the Canadian Sport Psychology Association
o Member of the Applied Association for Sport Psychology
o Licensed member of the Canadian Psychological Association
2-) Jet-Ice Contest : Once again this year, one of our major sponsor Jet-Ice, launches the full house design contest. Each curling club is invited to submit as many propositions as they want. Send your files in a vectorial format (ai or eps) and in visual format (pdf, jpr or png) at info@curling-quebec.qc.ca before March 17th, 2017. A price value of 500$!
3-) Official opening – a new curling club : The brand new Beauce-Sartigan curling club, located in Saint-Honore-de-Shenley, organizes a special event next Wednesday February 8th at 2pm to officially announce its opening! Congratulations and welcome in the curling community to the new club and lots of success in the years to come!
4-) A Curling Event for the Children’s Wishes Foundation : March 12th, come and curl for a great cause from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the Jacques-Cartier curling club. Everybody’s welcome and all profits will be given to the Children’s Wishes Foundation.
5-) Curling at the Fairmont Château Montebello: There are still spots available for the tournament at the Château Montebello. Enjoy a gourmet curling get-away week-end in one of the most famous hotel in Québec. Includes meals, accommodation, parking and curling games. For more information, click here.
