OFFICIAL RELEASE – CURLING QUÉBEC
Covid-19 – Friday, March 13th, 2020
In light of the Québec government’s and the Ministry of Health and Social Services’ recent recommendations, and to abide by the public health measures currently being adopted to slow the spread of Covid-19, the Curling Québec Board has decided to immediately suspend all official activities of the federation that were slated over the next three (3) weeks.
The following provincial championships will, therefore, be postponed until further notice: the Brosse Performance U18 Provincial Championship, the Mixed Provincial Championship and the Club Championship. A decision concerning the definitive cancellation or the postponement of these events will take place in time, after careful consultation with our partner federations.
The Curling Québec Board will meet again in two weeks to discuss the status of all remaining activities in the 2019-2020 calendar.
We would like to remind all our member clubs that it is entirely at your discretion whether to continue your operations or not. We recommend, however, that you take note of all the public health measures previously mentioned and that you do what is in your power to follow them.
