The first Canadian championship of the season, the 2025 Canadian Mixed Championship, will begin on Sunday (November 2, 2025) in Assiniboia, Saskatchewan. Fourteen teams will compete and the event will take place from November 2 to 8, and by the end of the tournament, one team will be crowned Canadian Mixed Champion.
Team Quebec, composed of Yannick Martel, Kelly Tremblay, Jean-François Charest, and Emilie Padbury, will face Northern Ontario, Saskatchewan, Northwest Territories, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nunavut, and Ontario in the preliminary round, which will end on Wednesday, November 5.
The teams are divided into two groups of seven for the round-robin games, which concludes Wednesday. From that point on, every game counts, as teams carry forward their records and are placed into new pools beginning Thursday. The top four teams from each initial group advance to the Championship Pool to face the top four teams from the opposite group, while the bottom three teams move to the Seeding Pool. This stage runs through Friday. On Saturday, the top four teams from the Championship Pool will compete in the semifinals.
