On November 18th, Curling Québec gave a workshop at the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi as part of the ”Journée Passion ÉPS 2e édition”. During this event, we showed to nearly 35 teachers and future teachers that it’s possible to teach the sport of curling in a gymnasium, and more importantly, that you can do so without the use of specific curling equipment. All teachers had lots of fun as a participant and it is evident for us that their students will appreciate the different activities as well!
By offering this kind of workshop to teachers and by giving them all the necessary tools and knowledge, our primary goal is that more students get introduced to the sport. Therefore, teachers can directly be involved in the promotion and in the development of curling among the youth.
