The Ministère de l’Éducation et de l’Enseignement Supérieur (MEES) administers a mentoring program for designated female coaches who wish to enrich and enhance their coaching expertise.
We are extremely pleased to announce that our provincial coach Julie Hamel will be paired in the coming months with Lisa Weagle. Lisa has competed in the Scotties Championship 8 times, and she has won top honours on 3 occasions (2013, 2014 and 2017). She captured gold, silver and bronze medals at the world championships and represented Canada at the 2018 Olympic Winter Games.
Julie and Lisa will be focusing on different aspects of elite players’ training and development, and our identified athletes will benefit from these sessions for years to come. Thank you for your collaboration Lisa and welcome to the Curling Québec family!
