Hello everyone. Here is your weekly news:
1- Looking for : A faithful sponsor of Curling Québec, Jet Ice, has been looking for quite some time for two water tanks that might have been “forgotten” in one of our clubs. The numbers of those water tanks are: 728B and 828B. Thanks for looking for them and letting us know if you have them.
2- Curling 101 in Magog : The Magog Curling Club launched its first ever Curling 101 program last Friday! We would like to welcome its enthusiastic participants to the world of curling!
3- Colts circuit: Did you know that there is a circuit reserved for curlers with 5 years of curling experience or less? This circuit provides an excellent opportunity to see new clubs and to compete against other curlers with a similar skill-level. The first event will be held at the Sherbrooke Curling Club from November 10-12. The registration deadline is November 1st. For more information visit our website: http://curling-quebec.qc.ca/
4- Competition coach workshop : A Competition Coach Workshop (2 days) is offered next November 25-26 at the Jacques-Cartier curling club. Schedule : Saturday & Sunday – 8.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m.. Language : French. Documentation and equipment provided on-site. Lunch not included. NCCP activity #5205246. Instructor : Julie Hamel. Registration deadline: November 10, 2017. 6- Disciplinary committee for resolving conflicts : Under the responsibility of the board of directors, which will be mandated to draft the final report, the disciplinary committee for resolving conflicts must be considered as a forum of last resort. Curling Québec strongly encourages anyone considering this solution to first try to resolve any conflictual or problematic situation in a civil way. See Information and procedures(in French only)
7- Invitation : The Vallée-de-la-Gatineau curling club in Maniwaki invites you to its events to come:
• ‘’Open’’ tournament – November 22 to 26, 2017
• ‘’Sturling’’ tournament – January 12 to 14, 2018
• Senior tournament – February 9 to 11, 2018
• Mixed tournament – March 9 to 11, 2018
8- Invitation : Glenmore Curling Club invites you to its Junior (Bantam) Recreational Bonspiel Saturday, December 2nd, 2017. This tournament is for the 16 Junior/Bantam teams (12 yrs to 18 yrs).
9- Invitation : Aurèle-Racine curling club invites you to its 11th edition of the Senior tournament ”Partie de jour” that will happen November 15 to 17, 2017. See poster below.
10- Invitation : Valleyfield curling club invites you to its first edition of the Tournoi des Entreprises that will happen next January 8 to 14, 2018.
11- Invitation : the 70th edition of the Manicouagan Invitation tournament will happen at the Baie-Comeau curling club March 16, 17 and 18, 2017.
