1-) Mixed Doubles Provincial Championship: The registration deadline is January 16, 2017. It is an open registration, all teams directly qualify for provincials. Click HERE to register now.
2-) A new developement program for you at Curling Quebec: Curling Québec invites all curling clubs to visit the Programs & Services section of the website to learn more about our development programs. These programs have been implemented to support each club’s efforts to promote and develop the sport within their communities. It is now possible to teach Curling in the gymnasium without any specialized equipment. This resource is added to the existing programs Curling 101, Igloo 1 and 2, as well as Rocks & Rings. 3-) Scolarships for young athletes: For its 11th consecutive year, Le Journal de Montréal, Le Journal de Québec, RBC present the Young Athlete Scholarship program in collaboration with Fonds d’investissement et de développement athlétique (FIDA), Boutique Courir, Sports Québec and TVA Sports. This prestigious program wishes to underline the excellency of our young athletes from Quebec and offers a chance to athletes who have distinguished themselves in their sport or in school to receive numerous scholarships for a total of $30 000.
4-) Infrastructures Program: Celanese curling club (Drummondville) took advantage of a government program that we annonced and shared with all of our affiliated members a while back. That program, from the Ministère de l’Éducation et de l’Enseignement supérieur gave them some financial assistance to do some important renovations to their club’s infrastructure. Congratulations to the Celanese curling club on a job well done.
5-) International Volunteer Day: In 1985, UN General Assembly decided to hold an INternational Volunteer Day each year on December 5th. It is viewed as a unique chance for volunteers and organizations to celebrate their efforts, to share their values, and to promote their work among their communities. We take this opportunity to say THANKS! to all volunteers that give time and energy in so many ways to promote our sport everywhere in Québec.
6-) Invitation: January 15 to 21 Lennoxville curling club will host their annual mixed bonspiel. Everyone is welcome.
7-) Invitation: Magog curling club invites you to its Women’s Tournament – L’hymne au printemps that will take place from March 5 to 11, 2017.
