The government made a few announcements regarding sports activities yesterday, but the impact of these measures remains marginal for curling clubs. Thus, young athletes under 18 years old can resume their activities (school, extracurricular and civil) but games are prohibited. A document detailing all the measures to be respected will be published by the ministry in the next few days. For adults, only individual, dyad or family bubble practices are allowed for the moment.
We would have liked to have a more precise schedule of the next announcements since the 2nd half of our curling season is already quite affected, but the authorities did not give us a more precise timeline. It is plausible to believe that more announcements and measures will be made in the coming weeks and that ”regular” sports could resume by the end of February if the pandemic situation improves but there is no certainty at this
time.
We are therefore continuing our work to represent you as efficiently as possible with all provincial and national authorities and we hope, as you do, for more favorable announcements very soon. In the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact our team if you need any additional information or clarification.
