Last Sunday, 32 women took over the ice sheets at Glenmore Curling Club in their first-ever curling course, while many of their children were playing in the on-site daycare service provided by Curling Quebec. The Ladies’ Curling 101 project has indeed started with a bang on its first day!
Representing diverse age groups, and led by their highly competent coaches (also all women), the ladies of the program started building the foundations of their curling skill sets for two hours.
Smiles and laughter were in steady supply, both on the ice and at the daycare. The next class is slated for this Sunday, January 19th, and promises to be even more fun than the last!
