Our last annual general meeting was particularly emotional as three important members of the board of directors of the federation officially took their “retirement”.
Pierre Fellice, who was a member of the Board of Directors for 8 years decided not to apply for a new term, as well as Serge Brazeau, who has been a member of the Board for the past 4 seasons. They were important parts of the federation during their respective mandates. Serge and Pierre were not present for personal reasons but we will certainly have the opportunity to thank them more officially in the coming weeks.
It was with great sadness and gratitude that we also praised the incredible work accomplished by Jean Lamère on the Board of Directors. After 17 years as a director of the board, 8 of them as president, Jean did decide to retire. He has happily agreed to serve as past president for a one-year term to ensure a smooth transition so we can benefit from his expertise in the coming season. Thank you to everyone who came for this occasion and a special thanks to those who participated directly (Cathy Hughes, Sylvie Turgeon, Serge Bourassa and Pierre Fellice).
Jean, Pierre and Serge, thank you very much for your involvement and dedication and see you soon!
