Congratulations to Catherine Derick, Paule Doucet Guillemette, Chantal Gadoua and Chantal Ouellette for their victory at the 2022 Women Masters provincial championship that was held from October 6th to October 9th at the Grand-Mère curling club. They will represent Quebec at the National Championship that will take place at the Pembina curling club in Winnipeg from November 13th to 20th 2022.
Team Debby Ship (Maria Santella, Guelena Chanchourova, Anne Mitchell and Debby Ship) finished with the silver medal while Team France Prévost (Diane Martin, Lise Brosseau, Raymonde Jette and France Prévost) finished with the bronze medal.
In the semi-finale, team Derick defeated team Prévost by a score of 7-6. After finishing first in the preliminary round, team Ship was straight into the final. The decisive game finished 6-2 after 7 ends.

Secondly, we would like to thank Mr. Serge Bourassa (president of the host committee and president of the Grand-Mère curling club) and his team of volunteers for organising such a wonderful event. Lastly, we would like to thank Mr Jacques Desharnais our chief umpire and his team of timers and observers for their dedication that allowed this event to run so smoothly this week. Such an event would not be possible without all of them.
